I love my coffee and naturally I grind my beans fresh to get the best flavour. I'm always keen to try new varieties so I couldn't resist this set. You get 3 200g bags of beans. 1 espresso roast, 1 Ethiopia, 1 "natural spirit" which is mostly South American organic beans. The back of each pack lists it's origin and when it was roasted which is always a sign of good coffee. Each bag is sealed in paper with a pressure valve to avoid the bags popping. I started with the natural spirit blend. Open the bag and you are greeted with a rich aroma of fresh coffee. The roast is even and there's no trace of burnt beans. There's a lot of aromas of berries, chocolate, and subtle nut. I brewed this in a cafetiere and espresso machine. Espresso produced a velvety smooth rich coffee that was almost sweet and had lots of flavours of berries,fruit and chocolate. There's a very subtle nut and acidity which makes it a delicious afternoon or all day coffee. The Ethiopian coffee has more acidity to it and is good for the morning or lunch. The espresso is .... espresso. strong dark roast with more bitterness and good for a wake up hit of caffeine or iced drinks. This is a great gift idea for anyone who loves coffee, or just curious about trying new varieties. The bags are large enough to give you almost a week of coffee (depending how much you drink) and allow you to really try them and decide what you do or do not like. The packaging is all easily recycled and the beans are also listed as being ethically sourced direct from farmers. Good quality, value is not so great, but you are paying for the fact it is a gift set and has the variety. Great as a gift or a treat . Highly recommended. Thank you for reading my review.
