I was very happy with these beans. I recently bought the ninja coffee machine and tried a few different types. These were excellent for the reasonable price. I would be more than happy to use them again. Lovely Flavour. I use them as a double espresso shot and full mug of hot milk. Very happy customer! The price looks like it fluctuates and I bought them when they were 2 x 1kg for £17.99.

I love my coffee and i'll always grind fresh at most doing a batch to last a day or so amd keeping it sealed. It's not cheap buying coffee beans soni decided to give these a try as the price was so tempting. This is a 1kg bag of 100% Arabica beans. The bag is foil lined with the usual pressure valve at the top to avoid the bag popping. The beans are rainforrest alliance certified so both peoples rights and the forrest are treated with respect. They do also state on the bag that the beans are sourced from several countries, but are roasted and packed in Belgium. If they are good quality beans you will smell the coffee in the bag before opening, not so in this case. The beans are sourced from multiple countries rather than single source which is a bit disapointing. Single source beans always have a better flavour profile and also give a reliable expectation. E.g. South america will be rich and fruity, asia and africa more acidic. These make a very acidic brew soni would presume the latter. I like to brew an espresso for new beans to get a full impression of the flavour and oil content. This gives a very thin almost no creme layer, so not much oil to the beans (milder, drier flavour), it brews a black rather than brown (medium to dark roasted beans). Taste wise this is very acidic. Piping hot the flavour is quite neutral and not really much of anything, let it cool a bit and it's smooth, very smooth, but also the high acidity comes through. There's not really any dominant flavour notes or aromas that i pick up, maybe a very mild chocolate or nut. Unfortunately the acidity overwhelms the palette thr cooler it gets. This has been roasted to a pleasant level (3/5), there's no taste of burnt coffee, but i think a heavier roasting would help reduce the acid and bring out more of the flavour. Because this is much more acidic than i would normally drink i think i'll have this as a morning coffee (to help get things moving). I'd also recommend brewing in a cafetiere rather than espresso. The ussual 1 tablespoon + 1 spoon per cup. Overall a bargain option for coffee beans and will definitely wake you up. But if you don't like acidic coffee and prefer a rich flavour profile steer clear. Thank you for reading my review. I hope you found it useful

It’s a pleasant drink. I was spending a lot on coffee and needed a daily driver that didn’t break the bank. This makes a nice brew right in my Goldilocks zone. Not too dark not too light. Not too strong not too weak and smooth.

This is not high quality coffee. That said, anyone expecting high quality at this price point is delusional. But having given it a go I’ve been pleasantly surprised. The coffee keeps and grinds well, even for espresso. The beans give a good crema consistently. The flavour is a little dull and earthy and doesn’t have any real character other than murky but it’s fine for everyday drinking. Missing some of the finer characteristics you might get from say Costa or Illy, this coffee is still a good few notches above the likes of percol or Lyons that you can now pick up in bargain stores. It’s worth considering that this is likely to be the polar opposite of fair trade coffee so if ethics come into your consideration when buying coffee, probably best to steer clear of this. I can’t even find a country of origin listed so it’s likely a blend of all things unworthy of a brand label. That said, if you eat fast food, you can’t pull the ethics card out on your coffee habits. In terms of value, this is its USP. As you can see in the pics, I’m about a third of the way through the 2kg, grinding in small batches to feed a four to six double-shots a day habit. I’m delighted to have fresh ground coffee on hand without the concern of running out within the week. Planning to supplement with the occasional tin of Illy but while that’s usually close to £5 for 250g there’s no contest in my mind and I can’t claim to have taste buds so sophisticated that they won’t drink this. Bottom line, give it a go and if you don’t mind a ‘standard’ fresh ground coffee, you’ve found a winner! Hey, it beats instant!

This is quite a nice tasting coffee and the beans are in good condition when the bag is first opened, they do go stale quite fast but that's true of all beans not freshly roasted. I'm using it for espresso and it is hard to dial in, the Puck seems to erode quite quickly turning a perfect flow rate into a gush towards the end. 15 seconds of pressure is about the most I could get before the puck ceases to provide any resistance.

I'm a genuine coffee snob and can say this is a bargain. It's not the smoothest but it's a genuine medium smooth coffee. Obviously no science to it, I'm comparing it with my favourites and taste is very subjective. Good cheap everyday coffee though, well worth the money.
