I think this is about the best coffee I've tried. A lovely flavour to it and bite.

These beans are quite expensive but I luckily managed to catch them when they were discounted. They are the nicest coffee beans I’ve had so far and I’ve tried a few. They aren’t bitter but are rich and delicious. Finish a cup and I want another one straight away!

Remarkable they were correctly roasted nice with natural oils so had really good flavour, unlike many coffee beans I've bought through amazon, specially amazon own brand coffee beans which were only fit for bin!completely waste of money, all of them grossely over roasted, burnt to death!!

I’ve been buying these beans via Amazon Subscribe & Save since May 2020 and I wanted to provide some data points to help you decide whether they are right for you. 1. Roasting. The roasting is fairly light: there is consistently no discernible oil on the outside of the beans. IMHO, this is good, as it means the ground coffee doesn’t adhere to the grinder (in my case a quite old Dualit burr grinder). I appreciate this because it means less mess. 2. Freshness. In other words, time from roasting (reported as “Roasted: Month/Year” on the packet) to delivery. This was one of my major concerns before going down the subscription route. Data for 12 deliveries over the course of nearly 2 years is as follows: Zero months from roast to arrival: 0 occurrences. One month from roast to arrival: 9. Two months from roast to arrival: 1. Three months from roast to arrival: 1. Eight months from roast to arrival: 1. All others zero. The major outlier is obviously the eight month delay. However I have to say even in that case the beans were perfectly ok, just maybe without some of the subtler caramel/vanilla type aroma (see below). 3. Quantity and frequency of delivery. I like to make a 1 litre cafetière of medium strength coffee every morning (using about 30g of beans, coarsely ground). A 1kg bag lasts me almost precisely a month at this rate of consumption. I say almost; I end up skipping about one delivery per year as I have excess beans. So probably it’s about 11/12ths of a kg per month. Anyway this is within the margin of variability due to having more, or fewer, visitors; being away, or not, etc. Using almost exactly one bag per month makes the Amazon Subscribe and Save purchasing option very convenient. 4. Consistency. All the properties of the beans described here have been consistent throughout the nearly two years I’ve been buying them. 5. Flavour. Becoming subjective now, but I find a well-balanced blend without acidity or excess bitterness from over-roasting. There are caramel/toffee, vanilla, dried fruit and light spice and tobacco notes to the aroma. Probably to a greater degree because there is a blend of beans, the flavour and aroma evolves significantly as a cafetière of coffee steeps.

I drink a lot of coffee, and use a deLonghi Magnifica expresso machine (wonderful, by the way). I always use beans, and prefer to drink it black, and savour the flavour. By comparison with other reputable brands, this is really good coffee. The beans themselves have a consistent size and colour. I could find no "bad beans" and they look as one would expect. The aroma is also enjoyable. I can't comment on the caffeine strength, because I'm not very sensitive to it's impact. As a comparison, I don't much like the flavour of Blue-Mountain coffee, which I find insipid. From the cup, the flavour is more mild than strong, with no bitterness or unpleasant elements. Overall, a very enjoyable drink. I will happily drink this coffee on a regular basis. There are some other factors to consider. Beans are not always stocked in the supermarkets. Delivery was very prompt (I'm in a rural location). Packaging for the post was appropriate. At this price, it is excellent value for money. Yes, I will purchase again, and recommend this as worth-a-try for anyone who has not already sampled it.

My father and I are huge coffee drinkers; as the coffee selection where we live(Ireland) can be described as poor at best I have resorted to buying beans online. This is the third batch I have bought, when they arrived with my brand new grinder I immediately opened them and poured them into my airtight 500g then poured most of what was left into the grind hopper. They were so fresh there was still oil visible on the shells, a little damp; which was very nice to see. The smell is best described as toasted sweet oat biscuits; pleasant if a little plane. When it comes to taste (compared to Kenyan Blue Mountain I previously had) from the flat white and espresso I have had so far and my fathers cappuccino we have found it a little unimposing. Do not get me wrong, for the price it is amazing(£7-8 cheaper) and the taste is still good I simply prefer mine more sour than sweet. Update: Full bag has been used in various way's and the final conclusion is that this blend tries to do too many things and whilst the price is good and the kick strong it is ultimately bland.

The beans tasted bad. I did not realise Amazon don’t allow returns. The text said you could contact the company directly if they weren’t up to standard. I did this but they won’t help! So I’m now stuck with beans I won’t use as no one wants to drink the coffee. (Bought mid September)
